Get a campaign room instead
Published: Mon, 02/28/22
From the friendly caves of Pixie Hollow.
Why have a whiteboard when you could have a campaign room?
A campaign or war room is a dedicated space in which you can think, strategize, map, plan, and study your own and your opponents' intentions.
Unlike your average brainstorming space, war rooms are single, permanent fixtures.
All responsible people gather in these rooms in order to make decisions.
The beautiful thing about a war room is that it contains all the information you are likely to need.
Every piece of intelligence.
Every idea.
Every attempt, and the data about that attempt.
It is your single source of truth, of thought, of strategy.
Strategy is the point.
Every woman and her hairbrush these days is a "strategist", but what they're actually doing is applying some version of a system they love. Very few actually engage in the get-dirty-photograph-the-opposition-on-the-toilet kind of research work. I've yet to meet one who creates war rooms!
I don't have the space for a war room here at Pixie Hollow, but if I did it would be Next Level.
The best I get at playing these kinds of games is wargaming with clients.
Where a brainstorm gets ideas out of your head and into a page, a wargame begins with a scenario and you run it as if you're in it.
You time it.
You ask all the necessary, easy, tough, risky questions. You imagine that you are in the thick of it, see the results, explain what's going on
It's like the professional version of Dungeons and Dragons, just without the dodecahedron die!
The fun thing is that wargames are now part of my coaching service.
You can access just the wargame on its own for $625 +GST.
So if you have ideas, or your stuck, or your want to do something new and just don't know how to model it to see if it's worthwhile or doable, you need a wargame.
Reply now if you'd like to know how to get yourself one of these incredible sessions.
