It's because being an editor and consultant gives you a super power that involves assessing documentation.

And as a P.I. loads of work is factual. Meaning, document-based.

If you're unable to assess documents and match then to stories, intentions, purposes; if you can't understand the actual meaning as it is written (as opposed to what you assume); you'll never bea good editor. You'll also never make it as an investigator.

So for me it seems like a natural extension of skills.

At the current rate of knots, I'll be qualified in about 90 days. Depending on the speed and direction of the wind it may be sooner.

All I need is a long cigarette, red lipstick, a dog offsider, a fedora, a dingy office, and a hot but dumb male receptionist.
