18 March 2022 | From the friendly caves of Pixie Hollow.
Imagine that you've got in front of you six sexy, silky scarves.
One is white, one is red, one black, one is yellow, one is green, and one is blue.
Drape one of the scarves over your head.
Its soft, cool, slinkiness slides over your cheek and makes you smile.
But wait!
It also changes how you see the world:
White is for innocence
How do we know?
We look for the facts
And the figures that show.
Red is for passion -
All of those feels!
We listen to hunches
And what makes us reel.
Black is for caution,
The process, the way.
The past and the future,
We try not to stray.
Yellow is good fun
Creative inquiry
We still have our reasons
But not so miserly!
Green is for sideways
Alternatives, movement
Forget being judgy
Just look at the element.
And Blue is for focus
Laser-like eyes
Design and sharp locus
Here's where we define.
You know these scarves as hats, probably. On that, if you haven't read de Bono's
Six Thinking Hats, rectify it.
Scarves are much more fun.
Use them to think through your clients' communication experience from a range of different angles and you'll soon find many more ways to make it sing.
